start a safe bars chapter
Do you want to see a Safe Bars chapter in your community? Safe Bars can train you to lead a successful program designed to thrive in the place you live.
Safe Bars has experience designing, launching, and running Bystander Intervention training programs for bars, clubs, restaurants, and other hospitality spaces all over the country. Our program layout is customizable based on the needs of your community, and we encourage creativity in execution.
We will travel to you or facilitate virtually via Zoom for the training. The length may vary depending on your group size but generally takes 15 hours total, divided over two days (or three if being done virtually).
We consult with you every step of the way, from before the training to well after you are underway, to help design a program that works best for you and to build a multidisciplinary team to ensure success.
The training focuses on the bystander intervention curriculum, how to use our Trainers Manual and implementation guide, and how to be an expert facilitator to reach our target audience while building a thriving, sustainable Safe Bars program of your own.
We will also provide you with a packet of research and analysis so you can tailor the data used to support the training to your needs while also updating that packet as new research gets published.
